GopherRail 2003

Gopher Rail 2003

Friday, August 8th, 2003

The Railroad Club at the University of Minnesota is proud to announce the first annual, Gopher Rail multi-media railroad show. This event, one of the first of its kind in the upper Midwest , is patterned after very successful similar events elsewhere in the country (e.g. Winter Rail and other "big screen" railroad shows).

This is the club's biggest fund raiser and all the proceeds
help support the next generation of rail enthusiasts.

Come enjoy presentations from some of the Upper Midwest’s best railroad speakers.

Some of the presentors include:

George Isaacs - Light Rail through the years
Aaron Isaacs - Trains around the U, from streetcars to the mainline, photos from the MTM collection
Barry Karlberg - Track plans for realistic operations: How to switch the MNNR, WC, and more
Bob Ball - My favorite places to shoot trains in Minnesota

Located in the air conditioned comfort of Murphy Hall 130, it starts promptly at 6:30 in the evening on Friday, August 8th

Not familiar with the U's campus and need directions? No problem, click here!

Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door with a $2 discount to all students.
